Our mission is to dismantle transportation barriers for all Georgians affected by the justice system. We provide reliable, compassionate, and free or low-cost transportation that enables vital family connections during incarceration and empowers individuals – youth and adults – with free rides to essential reentry services and opportunities, supporting them as they rebuild their lives. Konnect Transit is profoundly personal and stems from a longing to bridge distances and mend hearts. My journey began amidst the struggles faced by my cherished friends and family who were incarcerated. Each visit to the correctional facility reminded us of the miles of physical and emotional distance that separated us. The long, arduous drives often reflected the challenges and stigmas our loved ones were navigating behind those towering walls.
As I sat in my car, each mile seemed to echo the cries of isolation felt by many families. During these long contemplative drives, Konnect Transit’s seeds were sown. I envisioned a world where the distance would no longer be a barrier but a conduit of hope, a pathway leading towards reconciliation and healing.
